The last 2 finals were held on 21st and 22nd September. The Men’s Pairs was contested by John Cheevers & Tom McGrath versus Joe Crosbie and Richard Bierney. The winners were Joe Crosbie and Richard Bierney, which was their 2nd year winning the tournament. Well done to all players.
The Men’s Championship was contested by Richard Bierney and Kevin McDonald. They had both beaten some of the club’s best players on the way to the final. Kevin had an inspired day in the final and came out on top. The bowling in all the matches to the final had been very competitive and some excellent displays of bowling. The club is getting stronger and stronger, which is great to see. Onward and upwards next year. No one can rest on their laurels as we have had some excellent players join in the past couple of years.
